it's been awhile since i've been able to write on xanga due to password problems, but now i'm back.

i'm sure so many of you read this anyways...

so here's an update of where i am right now.

i'm at lipscomb for the first two and a half weeks before we leave for Vienna on September 5th.

we're having intense music appreciation/german/history classes. my classes are actually very tough. my music app teacher looks dead on like david bowie playing andy warhol in the movie "basquiat". he is very passionate about music. a bit much so. we are learning way too much about how to read operas and learning what all these italian words mean.

my humanities, which is basically just all european history, is really hard. i had a hard enough time with history already, but this is ridiculous. it's all moving in fast forward and i'm just trying to hang on. i think i'll be ok eventually, once i get settled.

german, on the other hand is really fun. my teacher, herr mcvey, is really funny and a good teacher. people who make learning more than sitting and staring have my respect. and now, since i am learning, i am now sort of quadralingual. go me. english, spanish, french, and now german. i will now teach you a german phrase:

"Lass mich en ruhe!", pronounced, "Lass meekh in roo!"
it means, "Leave me alone!"

and i'm slowly gaining more and more german knowledge.

i'm so incredibly excited i just can't stand it.

13 days left.

in other news, bryanna believes that she has food poisoning. this really sucks. poor girl is so accident-prone...

ohio was really alot of fun. here are some of the highlights:

-i hate flying. to ease the pain of being thousands of feet in the air, i read a magazine offering pointless things for rich people, such as dog food timers and waterproof ipod cases. i found myself wanting some of these products, then the plane landed, thankfully.

-i spent a lot of much needed time with bryanna and met her family. i don't think they like me, besides her mom and sisters. when her two uncles asked me what i was studying at college, i said art and graphic design. i "looked the type". figures.

-i went to the mckinley monument, which is reminiscint of the stairs scene in rocky. needless to say, i re-enacted it, duh.

-we went to a lake to which i still don't know the name. i spent about an hour pumping air into an inflatable kayak by means of a foot pump. after i was nearly done, a bald ranger drives up and asks if we have a permit for it. yes, that's right, he asked to see our permit for our two person inflatable kayak. basically a really big balloon. we didn't have one, but he let us go(my lungs thanked him). bryanna wouldn't let me paddle, so i just sat back and watched as she tried to row. it was funny. but it was nice to be in the middle of water. very peaceful.

-i was harrassed by her four year old sister. cute, but evil. needless to say, we didn't get much time to ourselves.

-we went to cedar point on friday. it was awesome. i rode the tallest roller coaster in the world. i wasn't brave enough to ride front seat with bryanna, but it was still alot of fun. we both got tons of sun. i won her a fluffy stuffed animal frog at a game. yay.

and i also realized how much i missed bryanna. i miss her again already. we spent alot of time just laying together on her couch with her sister bugging us. i loved it. i love her. i'm glad i'm back home, but i wish i could just spend the rest of the summer in ohio.

tons more fun stuff happened, but i'm too tired to type right now.
